Do we clean windows in the rain?

The whole of North America is thinking about rain this weekend, as Ike has plowed into Texas leaving a lot of rain and damage. It may make you wonder whether we clean windows in the rain.

Of course, our company is committed to the highest standards of quality, we will never do anything that would not leave your windows clean.

On the few days each year where there is a very significant amount of rain, torrential rain, and thunderstorms, we do not clean any windows.

For houses, often the rain might start unexpectedly once we start work on your house. At that time, we may go inside and wait for the rain to stop and clean the inside windows. Often the rain would abate allowing us to clean the outside windows or we may return later to finish the job.

Many of the stores and commercial properties have overhang over the windows, signs or awnings that prevent any water from touching the window, even on days of heavy rain. This allows us to clean most of our commercial properites even on rainy days. Rain is simply not a factor.

Often people ask us why we clean windows when rain is forecast for that evening or the day after. They believe that the rain is going to ruin the glass, making it dirty immediately. Perhaps you feel that way. Many do. However, rain on a clean windows, beads and runs off the window, not causing it to be recked by dirt. Clean windows can often stay clean, even when not protected by the rain for several weeks or months.

You may wonder, why don't you just take every rainy day off? That's a good question. That would create a nightmare as there are only so many days in the week and month. Inevitably on some rainy weeks, we may have to cancel a whole week of work. This would affect you in that we would not be able to provide the reliable, and consistent window cleaning we promise. There would also be a danger that your windows would start to look quite dirty, creating a bad first impression to your customers who notice the windows first. It is simply not practical for us to cancel large amounts of work on rainy weeks, and not in your best interest.

Again, our company is commited to quality first. We don't clean when we feel that there is no point. If you are still worried about windows that we clean on a rainy day, and you are not happy with the results, just call us back - at 647-409-8144 and we will fix it for no extra charge.
