| Your competitors are not always your enemies |
There is a saying to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Well, all though that is a good saying it doesn't really apply in my case.
My competitors include some good friends and acquaintences, We respect each other, although we do get jealous of each others successes. Especially when they are ahead of us on Google.
It's good to keep in mind, especially in a service

On a similar note I spoke to another competitor today who is a one man show that is super busy. He regularly turns down jobs that are in Toronto (he is based in Durham region) but he wants to work with me to make sure he doesn't have to say no so much, and he can make some additional cash from the referrals. And I will enjoy getting some extra work since January hasn't been a great month.
